Papiers découpés entre tradition et modernité:

This passion came in a natural way, by the beauty of these works, love of nature, mountains and cows of my childhood to the farm of my parents, in Denges, small village near the Lake of Geneva.

I created my first papercut in 2004. We can say I am still a young cutter.

My creations reflect scenes imbued with a certain innoncence, through characters who look childish. They are a call to dream and to a moment of simple happiness. Each painting is a journey.

Papercut is a traditional art which finds its origins in China, but it is also for many centuries in Switzerland, particularly in the Canton of Vaud in the old Pays d'Enhaut .

The most famous swiss cutters are Johann Jakob Hauswirth (1809-1871) from Saanenland and Louis Saugy (1871-1953) from Gérignoz, near Château-d’Oex.

The swiss association of the friends of papercut is the sign of the interest and the place of this art in our culture. The swiss national museum in the castle of Prangins also showcased papercut through an exhibition in 2006-2007.
